Recommended Breastmilk Storage Period

When my son started eating solids, our pediatrician gave us a pamphlet about the diet of Filipino infants, children and adolescents. The title is “Dietary Prescription Food Guide Pyramid Second Edition: for Filipino Infants, Children and Adolescents”.

The pamphlet also contains the recommended breastmilk storage period. I create a “table form” of the said information.

Diet of Lactating Mothers

My Mommy, Mama and my OB-Gyne told me that eating foods with “sabaw” and malunggay can increase my milk supply! I can say that it can really help (based on experience). I read some blogs that production of breast milk will also depend on your diet.

Last month, when we visited our pediatrician, he gave me a pamphlet about Food Guide Pyramid for Filipino Infants, Children and Adolescents. A portion there that states “Diet of Lactation Mothers”. I would like to share this note with you.

I was shocked when I saw the volume of rice we should consume per day !!! Shocking isn’t it when I’m only eating 2 cups per day !!!!
